A Simple Souvenir: Coins and Medals of the Olympic Games serves as a catalogue for the American Numismatic Society's exhibition "Full Circle: The Olympic Heritage in Coins and Medals," shown at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, October 2003 to October 2004. Illustrating over 120 ancient and modern coins, medals and related Olympic badges, posters, and ephemera, the catalogue offers in addition a study of the social and political function of the numismatic heritage of the Olympic Games.
