Two Exciting Offers for ANS Members

Dues notices are in the mail for 1997 and included are two exciting offers for Society members in 1997.

1997 ANS Calendar

The special 1997 calendar, "Treasures of the ANS American Cabinet," presented on the occasion of the Eric P. Newman Tribute Dinner on October 25, is available as a gift to all ANS members joining an ANS Circle in 1997 - simply sign up as a Gold, Electrum, Silver, or Bronze Circle Member for 1997 and we will send you this unique memento in addition to the other benefits enjoyed by Circle Members. Quantities are limited and when the supply of calendars is gone, this offer will be withdrawn.

CNL Free to Members

Members of the ANS are also invited to enjoy a free subscription to the Colonial Newsletter during 1997, simply by checking the offer on the ANS dues renewal form. In 1996, the CNL Foundation, through its President, James C. Spilman, contributed this important journal, specializing in the numismatic history of the United States in the pre-Federal period, to the ANS, commencing in 1997.

The ANS will publish three issues of CNL per year under the Editorship of Dr. Philip L. Mossman, author of Money of the American Colonies and Confederation; Mr. Spilman has been named Editor Emeritus. The two current Associate Editors, Gary Trudgen and Michael Hodder, have agreed to continue in this role, for which we are very grateful.

The Society is offering the free 1997 subscription to the entire membership in order to acquaint a larger circle of readers with this important specialty journal which we believe, due to its history of well researched and informative articles, will prove of lasting value to all with an interest in modern coins and currency.
