The J. Sanford Saltus Award recipient is

Netherlandish Sculptor Theo van de Vathorst;

an exhibit of his medals will be on display during the event.

The Stephen K. Scher Lecture   entitled

"Suddenly Mad about Portraits: Creating a Taste for

German Renaissance Medals and Sculptures" will be

given by art historian Dr. Jeffrey Smith of the University of Texas.
